The Golden Rule states that the most important area of an image is located near the bottom right corner of the image, roughly one fourth of the image height up and one forth of the image width to the left.
Why the bottom right corner? Essentially because theoretically we “read” images the same way we read a written text: from left to right and from top to bottom. In line with this theory Japanese and Chinese readers look at images very differently.
